The NXAMP4x4mk2 is a NEXO Powered TDcontroller — a single unit combining advanced signal processing with four Class D amplifiers to power and control NEXO loudspeaker systems. NEXO's DSP expertise and Yamaha's amplifier heritage are combined in one box, giving a flexible, light-weight powering and control solution for fixed installations and touring. For installers it means one unit replaces a separate amp and DSP, and it is quick to set up and deploy.
Power and sound quality
Rated at 4 x 4500 W, the NXAMP4x4mk2 uses ultra-low-distortion Class D amplifiers with 24-bit/96 kHz converters and 64-bit signal processing. Three multi-core DSPs provide a future-proofed platform able to host new algorithms and firmware for years. Output scales with load and mode:

Channels are configured as 4 amplifier channels, bridgeable 2 by 2.
Power supply and mains
A universal supply covers 100–240 V (50/60 Hz), so the unit runs anywhere in the world and on generators. PFC (Power Factor Correction) keeps conversion efficient and smooths the current drawn to limit stress on the mains. Mains connection is via two Neutrik PowerCON NAC3 inlets (2 x 20 A).
Audio inputs, outputs and networking
- Analogue inputs: 4 balanced on XLR3.
- Outputs: 4 x Neutrik Speakon NL-4.
- Control ports: RS-232 (DB-9) and GPIO (DB-25).
- Native dual Ethernet card (fitted as standard) for remote control, amplifier daisy-chaining and NeMo integration.
- Expansion slot for optional digital input / network cards: Dante, EtherSound, AES and Dante + AES — all with automatic analogue fall-back.
Setup and control
All essential parameters are accessible on the front panel via a 4.3-inch colour display (480 x 272) and a backlit rotary encoder, which makes commissioning quick. Once live, NeMo software handles remote control and monitoring across the amplifier network.
Rack planning
The NXAMP4x4mk2 occupies 3U of 19-inch rack space, is 502 mm (20") deep and weighs 24.9 kg. It is certified to cULus, CB (CE), CCC, PSE and KC, and is RoHS compliant. User manuals, datasheets and firmware are in the NEXO downloads section.
