Wyrestorm USB-C HAOC Cable limitations

WYR-CAB-USBC-15 cable has the following limitations:

Out of the box, as it should be, the USB connector is not polarised. That is to say that it can be connected between the source and sink with the plug orientation either way up.
If you use a USB-C coupler then it is most likely that the resulting connection will only work one way up. I have not yet found an adapter that works both ways up. Symptoms vary from loss of video through to no connection at all.
As I mentioned in a previous note, if the cable is to carry display (alt DP mode) then it must be connected so that the display/sink end is the one with the captive screw in the plug
The cable is very intolerant to extension. Example:
1. An obvious application might be to run the cable under the floor and use a USB coupler to extend the cable up to the desk. Regardless of the quality of the extension cable, it is very unlikely that the cable will function reliably when connected in this format.
2. A second option would be to use a USB-C Plug to Socket arrangement. This may work reliably but should not be considered a robust option. Contact me for suggestions on cables that might work
There are alternatives, but be careful specifying USB 3.x over C devices, because very few support alt DP mode (video over USB-C/Thunderbolt)
