Quick setup on how to Mesh Draytek access points.
Firstly, find the IP address of the access point you wish to be a master, this must be wired.
Scan or look at the DHCP table on a router, for the AP you will be using for a Mesh Root.
Navigate to the IP address and login (by default admin/admin).
In the wizard, select Mesh Root, giving a group name and then click next.
On the next page, provide the SSID you will be using.
Provide a password for the access points (s) and keep safe.
On the next page scan for the access points that are connected via power only once found it will look like this.
Select the access point (s) and click apply, ensuring you have given the access point a name (bedroom / living room etc).
The non connected access point will reboot and then join, if you see offline – that is fine.
If you click finish and then navigate “Mesh Status” on the Mesh Root access point you should see something like this below.
Please note that as per Draytek documentation you are allowed up to 3 Hops.
To add an additional Nodes, navigate to Mesh Setup on the Mesh Root and then select Add Node.
